Shakespeare at Winedale is housed in the Texas countryside, at the University Of Texas Winedale Historical Center. Students from the Austin based U of Texas perform in a century-old German hay barn that has been converted into an Elizabethan-style theatre.

Monument Hill and Kreische Brewery State Historical Park is located one mile south of LaGrange, Texas. The park includes the Kreische Brewery and Home where Heinrich Kreische, a master stone mason, acquired in 1846. The site is the first commercial brewery in Texas.
